A Bite of the Big Apple

Back in May I went to New York City and explored as many different places as I could and see as many different levels of the City as possible. My favourites being Williamsburg, Coney Island and this random avenue with all the alternative shops on it. I'm defiantly planning a return trip as I never found 'Shoot the freak' at Coney Island.
Below are a few of my findings drawn out and I hope you like them

A Little More... Attitude Please

  The shoot below was inspired by Illustration Rally who were doing a competition for Red Rock. I originally intended to do a shoot for the competition and draw from the photographs, but my models became unavailable; so I used photographic reference that I already had in my archive.
  I was still really excited and up for doing a shoot so asked my sister to model for me, with the idea that I wanted to go in the Punk direction and these are a few of the photos we created.

Coffee Capers

Okay, so last night I pulled an all-nighter (and i'm still going I thank-you), and decided to draw something selfish and indulgent. The top image is a potential poster for the band Kids in Glass Houses who I saw play last year at Falmouth, and decided to put the many photos I took to good use-Volia! The three images below that are designs for my business cards. I've decided to take the idea of tarot cards and to modernise it and create my own tarot like cards. I like the look so far, so we'll see how it goes.

Zine Baby

Laced is the title of the magazine i've been working on over the past week for my Uni exhibition. It contains stories that I wrote myself, and a few media experiments to push my illustration. I've tried to incorporate detail into my work and more colour. I really enjoyed composing the whole magazine myself, and i'd love to hear some feedback-let me know what you think!
